Firstly,
Let me say JUKESTOCK was heaven on earth for me, and my only regret was that it ended too
soon! Thank You, Johnny, The Jukes, Maggie, Debbie, Jane, The Holiday Inn Staff, and all
the great fans who made it such a wonderful weekend!!!!
Many people before me have already detailed all the great moments and performances of the
weekend, better than I ever could, Except one! I want to say a special Thank You to Muddy
and Jarrett Dean (Talk Town) for going on with the show Sunday night, and what a show it
was!!! As you may know, The Stone Pony Show was canceled, but about 7:30 PM in the bar at
the Holiday Inn, Talk Town took the stage for us hardy few who remained and provided about
a two-hour acoustic set, that was very enjoyable.
The wind and snow were swirling around outside, while we got to sit (I had forgotten what
that felt like) in a warm and intimate atmosphere and hear some great music. Talk Town
played some originals, they also had handed out a list of covers they played, for
requests, it was like having a live jukebox!!!! Neil The UK Southside got up to sing: I
Don't Want To Go Home "We all reached up and touched the sky, and then it really was
over.
It was actually a very nice end to an unbelievable weekend!!!! I only felt bad that more
people weren't there to hear how talented Talk Town is. Well, maybe at JUKESTOCK
2002!!!!!!!!!!
Start planning ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
