Subject: JUKESTOCK - Wow!

It's a snowy Monday and we're about to be hit with one of the biggest storms in awhile. We got in from JUKESTOCK late last night trying to beat this storm so I didn't get a chance to post until now. I have been a LONG-time Jukes fan more than 20 years now) and a short-time lurker on this digest. I guess I didn't have anything to say that I hadn't already read. But, after going to JUKESTOCK this weekend I can't help but say this was simply an awesome weekend. I haven't posted before but I feel the need to now - almost like I am writing a thank you note for a very special gift.

I have been to similar events and festivals and this has got to be the BEST arranged and produced event I have ever been to.

From Friday to Sunday there was always something going on (and I'm sure you've read all about it already!) and everything was tremendously entertaining as well.

Although my time was filled, I never felt rushed or hurried. Debbie, Maggie, and Jane - THANK YOU! You all did a marvelous job and we are so indebted to you. The ticket price doesn't begin to cover the joy and satisfaction this event brought me.

I'm getting married in about 6 weeks and my fiancée (Little Girl So Fine!) attended JUKESTOCK with me. I didn't want to make a big thing about it, but I considered it my Bachelor Party. I can't think of any better way to celebrate my upcoming nuptials than with a roomful of Jukes fans and Juke music.

It was great meeting Johnny and the Jukes, getting the autographed pictures, as well as some other great finds, like the tape of the Imus interview (Thanks Jack!), the videos of Rick Deringer's Rock Spectacular and Rocklife - Germany 1992 (Thanks Sly!), and Johnny's new CD.

I just hope this event can somehow be repeated - if not next year or the year after, then sometime. For those of you who didn't attend you missed a GREAT weekend - one of the best in a LONG time! For a Jukes fan, this was a must!
